No sooner is 2011 underway than all the big brands start unveiling their Spring/Summer ad campaigns. If anymore proof were needed that 2011 is going to be the year when the flare returned then look not further. Advertisers don’t come much more mainstream than Gap, so when they start putting their models (Anja Rubik & Jac Jagaciak) in flares, then you know this style is back on the fashion map.

    There have been many times in recent years that Gap has been late to the gate with trends. To have this mainstream brand offering wide flare jeans this early in the game is impressive; even other mainstream brands such as Abercrombie & Fitch, American Eagle and Levi’s are not offering anything new in this direction yet.
