Acne Acid Wash Jeans

There seems to be no doubt that acid wash or grungy jeans are making a come back. They have already been featured in Vogue Japan, Nylon and here on Denimology a couple of times. Although they may be one of the least fondly remember fashions from the 1980s, the fact that they are the polar opposite of the plain, dark jeans that have been popular for the last few years makes them look both retro and modern at the same time. Unlike the 80s acid wash jeans the new versions come in cuts and washes that are far more flattering to today’s discerning denim tastes.

New acid wash jeans are being produced by brands such as Acne (see above), Lux, 7 For All Mankind and Corpus (see below) and have already picked up some celebrity fans in the shape of models Irina Lazareanu (shown below with Pete Doherty) and Keeley Hazell.

  1. These acid wash look nice. I think it will be more attractive if designer add mild whisker at hip & thigh area OR destroy effect.
