Each season the Diesel Denim Gallery produces a selection of limited edition pieces to “trigger the lust of denim addicts worldwide”. This season they made a pilgrimage to Okayama, Japan (the mecca of denim production) in order to get two very special jeans made. The denim was dyed using natural indigo then woven using hand shuttle looms using single continuous threads to produce a tighter, heavier and more durable fabric. These jeans are available in pure indigo (see above) or a washed version with yellow overtones (see below), feature a label stating “Handcrafted in Okayama, Japan” and come in a delicate rice paper bag.
