Australian denim brand Nobody (named for the label’s self-reflexive questions on identity) returns this season with subtle variations on straight & boot cuts for men and women. Ladies’ standout platinum-coloured skinny jean and guys’ faded black wash both scream urban nightlife, as does much of the F/W ’08 collection, which also includes a variety of black sweaters and dresses trimmed in gold that give nod to the luxe 80s. Add on cheeky tees that proclaim ‘Nobody Lives Forever’ and the surprisingly fresh uni-(back)pocket stitching, and it would seem that Nobody is seeking to be somebody.

Nobody’s Melbourne design studio and store (keenly named Nothing by Nobody) share space in a remodeled warehouse where bimonthly art exhibitions are held. Not down under? The label is also available in a number of shops worldwide, including Selfridges in London and Fred Segal in LA.
