French label A.P.C. has put out a collection called “Butler Worn Out” they don’t just feel like they’ve been worn in they actually have been worn in. In these economically challenged and “green” times A.P.C. has found a way to serve both needs by having people donate their broken-in jeans for a new crisp pair receiving a half-price discount on the new pair. The used pair will then be marked with the initials of its donor, washed, ironed ‘inside and out’ and resold.
Available at the A.P.C. store in Los Angeles (although they are selling out quickly) this is a trend that could catch on with other brands. Word is that other A.P.C. outlets will soon be recycling their jeans so keep a look out in your area.
