It may surprise some that the extremely European-looking label Parasuco is actually a Canadian company. Creator and designer, Salvatore Parasuco, is the son of Italian immigrants in Canada. Started in 1975, the brand has always drawn on the deep history of Italy, capturing the fearless sexuality of its culture and fashion.
This season, Parasuco strips down its usually highly embellished jeans for a more laid back F/W 08 collection. Vampy gothic lines mix with faded 70s colours for a unique take on this season’s trend of country cool. The look comes together with reverse scalloped backpockets and tanned stitching reminiscent of the careless abandon of cowboys roaming. A bit country, a bit rock ‘n roll, expect high society rebels and libertines alike to adopt the look.
