Do Something is an non profit organization based in the U.S. that believes in the power of teens to make a difference. They have partnered with Aeropostale to collect jeans for homeless teens and have enlisted “Gossip Girl’s” Chace Crawford to get the message out. Teens For Jeans is a great project, all you have to do is drop off a pair of gently worn jeans to an Aeropostale store (or go online and get further info) and they will get the jeans to a local homeless shelter for teens. As a reward you will receive 25% off your next pair of jeans. This project runs until February 22nd.
I’m a fan of Do Something and last month became the recipient of my own grant to begin work to furnish the Mens Dorm at CIDA College in South Africa (South Africa’s first “free” College). Working through viral campaigns and events I hope to accomplish my goal of furnishing the 68 rooms this year. Please check out my grant and I encourage everyone who can to “Do Something” – www.dosomething.org/savannah
