Flux is a Melbourne based menswear label, making denim for Australia’s elite for the past decade. Designers Denis Leadbeater and Julian Johnson met at local punk gigs during the late 80’s. After hanging out for 10 years they decided to put together a label in 1999 making hand printed t-shirts to only a couple of Melbourne best stores. FLUX is now stocked in over 50 boutiques Australia wide and have recently picked up some stockists in Tokyo, USA, Singapore and now Europe.

The FLUX style comes from a diverse range of influences, from French poetry and military uniforms to gothic imagery and the urgency of the punk movement…. and often a mix of all these at once. The attention to detail is second to none, this goes for the prints, the fits, the denim treatments and the branding. The whole FLUX package is carefully put together and very well designed. Each pair of jeans is hand sanded, drilled, rubbed and washed to the highest standard. Finally each jean is finished with individually painted hardware.

In new collection VICTORIE, the colour is limited and the imagery is dark. The range is torn, washed, crushed and faded. Key pieces are the ‘Fucking Skinny Leg’ jeans, the ultra washed denim ‘Prison Shirt’, the ‘Home Bleached’ denim jeans and plenty of printed tees with themes of Lost Love, New Love, Victory & Death.
