Since taking over Helmut Lang three years ago, Theory president Andrew Rosen and the label’s designers, Michael and Nicole Colovos, appear to have gotten their groove back – says WWD. According to major retailers, the brand’s leather offerings and jersey t’s have been a hot seller, even with the slow economy. Now, to extend the line, the brand will launch a stand-alone denim collection. The designers have created a denim collection of pants, skirts, jackets, dresses and T-shirts that pick up on many of the signature silhouettes from Helmut Lang. While Helmut Lang has done jeans in the past, they now want to get more serious about the line, and see the jeans as the “next generation of denim”. We can’t wait to see more!
