Hussein Chalayan stood at the back of the runway disguised as a man at a pulpit with a baby grand piano as he presented his Spring/Summer 2010 RTW collection in Paris. Channeling the 50’s with cone bras and his own sense of surreal fashion, Chalayan included pieces from his collaboration with Los Angeles based J Brand at the show which took place at Couvent des Cordeliers. The knee length denim pencil skirt in Aspen and the Capri pant also in Aspen made their way to the runway twice and will be available in December as part of the Hussein/J Brand collaboration which is growing into more than a one off collection. President and Co-Founder, Jeff Rudes was in attendance and said, “The Spring/Summer 2010 J Brand/Hussein Chalayan collection is not only capturing the momentum of the success of the Fall 2009 launch but is also taking the collaboration to the next level.”
