I am always disappointed by the lack of good denim coming out of the UK. So I was very interested to come across a new British denim brand named Allevol whilst browsing round American Classics earlier this week. After a little research I discovered that this is a Anglo/Japanese brand – the styling and design is all done within the UK but the production and construction is carried out in the Okayama district of Japan. Their first collection features skinny, slim and straight-leg jeans made from Japanese selvedge denim. Their goal is to produce simple, classic, quality products. And from the look of the jeans I have seen, they are well on target. Their jeans are available in UK, Japan, Amsterdam and Russia and I certainly hope they find their way into lots of homes as I would be delighted to see a men’s denim brand from the UK doing well globally.
