It’s a philanthropic partnership in blue jean heaven. The Gap has partnered with Cotton Inc on a program that converts denim into UltraTouchTM Natural Cotton Fiber Insulation, then donates it to communities in distress! Since starting the denim initiative four years ago, Cotton Inc. has recycled enough denim to insullate over 540 homes!

The mass retailer is asking people to drop off their old denim skirts, jeans and shorts to any Gap, BabyGap or GapKids store between now and March 14 as part of the “Cotton. From Blue to Green” denim drive. Any one who donates will receive a 30% discount on one new pair of jeans (i.e. check out the 1969 collection jeans!!)
