Levi’s flagship UK store on Regent St is being re-launched today after a major makeover to turn it into the ultimate jeanswear destination. The store now has a more industrial feel, with uncluttered product displays giving the place less frantic feel than before. Although admittedly the sense of calm was certainly helped by the fact that weren’t any shoppers in there when I was given a pre-launch tour. Denim fans will want to head straight downstairs to the Inspection Room where they can shop by either fit or finish. Most denim stores have a denim wall but this being Levi’s they have themselves a denim warehouse where you can choose from 22 different washes of their iconic 501s. And the icing of the cake for me (and any other vintage denim lovers) is the pair of original 1920’s 201 Levi’s jeans on display in the basement, these incredible jeans are nearly 100 years old but look like they could have been made last year.
