Doing these reviews for Denimology has exposed me to many different denim brands and given me an appreciation for some labels that may otherwise not have existed. Case in point – 7 For All Mankind, my reference to them until recently had been celebrities (and others) wearing their best selling “Straight Leg in NY Dark” – a style that just didn’t appeal to me. I’ve certainly changed my opinion since being asked to review them here. I fell in love with 7’s Ricky Boyfriend Jeans when I reviewed them a few weeks ago and today I am taking out their “Roxanne” jeans for a test run.

Different from “The Skinny” (that I review previously) which holds it all in place, these are a more traditional denim and lycra denim fabric with a 7.5″ rise (I generally prefer a lower rise) and a snug fit through the thigh to a tapered ankle, almost like a loose skinny jean. I’m not the biggest fan of this wash which is almost marbleized in appearance, although I may be in the minority there as I was complemented on them while shooting these pictures. This jean is referred to as “Skinny Slimmer” and is available in black, white, grey (marbleized), distressed and a super cute mint color, all of which I think are fantastic. Given the cut and comfort of these jeans I do see why 7 For All Mankind has such a huge following.

For the record this was what Winnie The Pooh would have called a Blustery Day. In Los Angeles we’ve had the strangest weather of late and high winds and rain have been the rule. I’m wearing my Mom’s vintage Dior sweater and these boots (which I love) that I got at a second hand store. I don’t know what brand they are but I’m loving them with skinny jeans.

The jeans reviewed here are 7 For All Mankind Roxanne Skinny Slimmer Jeans and are available online for between $132 – $189.
