Girls Aloud Superstar Kimberley Walsh filmed a documentary with Sky TV called Blue Jean Girl. You see Kim set out on a journey across America to trace the history of jeans because Walsh said shopping for jeans reduced her to tears. Along the way she meets designers from J Brand, Rock & Republic and Tommy Hilfiger and other fashion industry experts as well. Kim did not understand the public passion for all thing denim. In the end, Kim found two (ONLY TWO?) perfect pairs. Ms. Walsh fell in love with True Religion Brand Disco Julie Jeans as well as Gap Boyfriend Jeans.

As a girl with a big booty myself, It does blow my mind that she only found 2 pairs. I found many different styles from all of the brands she tried in the documentary as well as Goldsign, Citizens of Humanity and Paige Denim.

You can watch the entire documentary after the jump. Enjoy!

  1. I just finished watching this on TV and found it pretty inane. What I found weird about the whole thing was that Kimberly didn’t actually seem to like jeans that much.

    • Right, why make a documentary on a girl who hates jeans? They should have at least hit it on the head like that. Like they were going to convert her or something. They needed someone else for her to talk to as well because she was so dull.

  3. I feel like it should have been more focused on her looking for a pair that fits right…instead it was having someone who doesn’t like denim going over the history of denim. Although, I knew the prices would freak her out on the premium denim since Kimberly is basically in charge of a lot of the groups finances or so I read on a news article.

    • Yes, 1. I thought she HATES jeans so why are they calling her Blue Jean Girl.
      2. She had no reason to review the history of denim which all seems heavily repeated in documentaries through out the years.
      3. She hated everything but we got no reasons WHY?! Argh.

This would have been more interesting if it were Cheryl (fullstop) because Cheryl actually wears jeans.

  5. the bit where she visited the cowboys was also utterly pointless, they wasted 10 minutes on that and the cowboys has little to say other than they like comfortable jeans.

The most interesting part was when she visited the J Brand factory and saw how the jeans were actually made but unfortunately that section only lasted about 2 minutes.

  7. Also, I did not know Kim was in charge of the groups money. How weird. Wouldn't they have a financial advisor for that?
