Did you know that 60% of the climate impact caused by a pair of jeans is generated after they have been purchased. According to research carried out by Levi’s the majority of energy consumed is from the gas or electricity used to dry the jeans after washing. To help address this issue Levi’s are running a Care To Air Design Challenge to find the best solution to air drying your jeans, the winner of which will receive $4,500. For those of you who do put your jeans through the tumble dryer, you might want to consider the fact that not only is air-drying better for the environment but your jeans will also look better and last longer if you dry them naturally.
