Although Current/Elliott may of paved the way for boyfriend jeans to make their mark over the past few seasons they have been hard at work diversifying the line which tends to have a girly twist to it. The Current/Elliott Cropped Legging in Character wash is a great wash. The color is vibrant and the mild amount of distressing applied to the denim looks natural and looks to have occurred naturally over time. The back pockets have creasing detail to them that I really like and there is a lot to be said about an unembellished pair of jeans that one can wear time and time again without being too obvious. The zippers at the ankle are a plus and a detail I personally am fond of. With a fabric makeup of 75% cotton and 25% spandex these are very comfortable and definitely move with you. The rise is 8″ so they are good to keep all your bits and pieces in even when you bend over (always a plus).
My personal style tends to lean to great t-shirts and high heels in the summer and no one makes better t-shirts than Hellz. We’ve covered them here on Denimology and even had a great giveaway! I found Hellz when I emailed them over a year ago after seeing a great pair of jeans they made and am probably their most obsessed fan. This t-shirt I will be wearing for the rest of my life as it pays homage to my hero Alexander McQueen. Upon his passing, Hellz made these limited edition t-shirts and I was happy to get one when I went to visit team Hellz a few weeks ago (it was our first face to face meeting and we had Pho downtown L.A. and I now consider Lanie and Brittany of Hellz to be friends). Nothing goes better with jeans than my Jeffrey Campbell platforms. I wear them all the time and they are so comfortable. Jeffrey Campbell is the end-all-be-all in my book.
Summer is here and I have one more month of my sophomore year in high school left. I’m so looking forward to the summer and being able to have more time to do reviews (including some video I hope) and I’m hoping to get a job or internship in the fashion field. My dream would be to get a summer job at People’s Revolution in L.A. I’m such a fan of Kell on Earth and just love Kelly Cutrone. For those who say she’s tough, well you haven’t met my Mom she’s a tough one too.
The Current/Elliot Cropped Leggings reviewed here can be bought from RevolveClothing.com for $204.
