One of the things I love about J Crew is that despite the tricky current economic conditions they are still willing to spend the time sourcing and promoting interesting denim brands. Earlier this year they collaborated with Japanese brand Warehouse and now they have an exclusive from Nashville jeans label Imogene + Willie. The label was formed by husband and wife team Matt and Carrie Eddmenson who previously worked in washing and finishing for brands like Levi’s and Ralph Lauren’s RRL. Two styles of slim straight-leg jeans will be available from J Crew, a dark was for $375 and a more rough and tumble light wash for $425. These jeans may not come cheap but then these guys are real artisans and apparently these jeans are actually made in a big metal tub in their backyard.

  1. I cant believe these jeans are washed in a tab in their backyard … they look so perfectly aged over time, even the whiskers have permanent creases.
