Anyone interested in the background behind Levi’s new Ready To Work ads may want to check out these two videos which detail some of the history and challenges being faced by Braddock, Pennsylvania – the town featured in the campaign. There isn’t any denim featured but the videos are still well worth watching to help understand the commitment of a community who are fighting to restore the town’s former pride.

  1. You guys cheated a little.. Reference to the “Carrie Furnace Steel Mill” in the 2nd video is incorrect. “Carrie Furnace” was an iron ore to liquid iron smelter located in the next town
    to Braddock – – That being Rankin! I know – I lived in Rankin for 20 some years!! The fresh liquid iron was then railroaded across the river to the Homestead Steel Mill and poured into their many Open Hearth furnaces.. The best of times in the 50’s – – But all gone now!! Nothing can be saved in these towns – – they are DEAD!!!
