Adriano Goldschmied and his business partner, Yul Ku may have broken up in 2004, but that has not negatively impacted the denim company or affected their customer fanbase which includes the likes of Kate Hudson, Charlize Theron, Kate Bosworth and Jonathan Rhys Meyers. AG Adriano Goldschmied has a high visibility in magazines, both in advertising and editorially and it wasn’t until I prepared to do this review was I even aware that the namesake was no longer attached to the brand. Does any of this make a difference to the consumer, probably not but these reviews are often educational for me so I thought I’d share.

When AG Adriano Goldschmied decided to name these jeans “Super Skinny” they were spot on as they fit like a second skin. I really like these a lot. The color is fantastic and with pastels being a hot trend they are ideal for summer. I love that the distressing/rips are subtle and the pocket design with the signature stitching is also understated. The rise is perfect at 7.5″ with a slim leg that has a 12″ leg opening allowing them to be snug all the way from top to bottom, which allows great versatility in terms of styling. They fit true to size and have good stretch to them as they are 65% cotton and 35% polyester. AG Adriano Goldschmied are known for their washes and ability to create awesome “vintage” looking denim, these are a perfect jean for summer and through fall, dressed up or down these are fab!

Doing these reviews is a blast for me but I did find myself in a bit of a “shoe” situation as I was repeatedly wearing the same Jeffrey Campbell shoes. For my birthday I got shoes from different people who were all aware of my plight (may this be the worst problem I ever have). My Mom got me these Steve Madden oxfords which I had been wanting for ages. This is a look that I really like right now, I was happy to wear these with an oxford shirt (my Mom’s) and I felt that the jeans were showcased well. We’ve had a week or two of the oddest weather in Los Angeles with humidity, rain and overcast skies. Beyond the obvious (it’s supposed to be summer) it does a number on my hair bringing out the curl no matter what I do to tame it.

This was my first try with AG Adriano Goldschmied jeans and I will say I’m a fan. They are a great fit, are incredibly well constructed and the wash and distressing are perfect. For a super skinny jean there is terrific movement and comfort. Count me in as your newest fan. AG Adriano Goldschmied Super Skinny Denim Leggings are available here and run between $150.00 – $180.00 depending on the wash.

  1. They look a million dollars Sav – love the colour too. Are they difficult to get into, they look tight enough to need some jumping up and down ? Don’t be down on the shoes, they are timeless and classic in their style πŸ™‚

  2. I don’t think I have ever seen her do one review where she doesn’t like the jeans, not that I blame her. If I had that bod I’d love everything I wear too. I totally understand the weather in LA thing. What a strange week, but I’m glad the over cast is gone. Normally it’s done by July, but I think it lasted a little longer. Ah well time for some swimming in the ocean and jean shorts.

  5. I have reviewed jeans that I didn’t particularly like the wash and I’ve received jeans to review that in no way could I wear due to fit issues and not reviewed and returned. What is amazing about these jeans is they are easy to get into and remarkably comfortable. The fabric is really soft so putting them on has that “jegging” feeling the fit if the denim were heavier or stiff wouldn’t be so great (IMHO). AG Adriano Goldschmied (try typing that a bunch of times) are fairly well known they do a lot of ads in magazines and are in a lot of stores. Thanks Dawn (as always) I love these oxfords and have been wearing them a lot!
