Self Edge, Los Angeles Opens Sept 1st SelfEdge-Los-Angeles_flyer.2.jpg

My favourite place to buy denim is Self Edge, they have a fantastic selection of Japanese denim and are constantly adding new and interesting brands. This Wednesday (Sept 1st) Self Edge will open their third store (after SF and NYC) in LA at 144 North La Brea Ave. They will be selling brands including Sugarcane, Skull Jeans, 3Sixteen, Ironheart and my current favourites Strike Gold. Now if only I could persuade them to open an outpost in London.

  1. Sorry I just don’t get the Self Edge hype. I’m a denim collector, have been for years. Researched them all, shopped all over. Self Edge has a limited selection and high prices. You can find a much better selection of denim on Rakuten cheaper and ships to many countries.

    • Their prices are rarely far higher than Japanese shops (with the exception of Sugar Cane) and i’ve found that their shirts are CHEAPER than buying them in Japan and they offer free shipping.

      • I agree, i have compared their prices with buying direct from japan and there isn’t a massive amount of difference. And it’s a hell of a lot quicker and easier to buy from self edge.

  3. The problem with buying jeans direct from japan is that you cannot return them if you don't like them.

  6. I'd hate to see what would be left in my bank account if a sample sale of some sort opened up here in the Bay Area. I'd be BROKE!
