For their Fall/Winter 2010 Premium 101 Collection Lee have dug through their not inconsiderable archives and pulled out the Lee 101 Slim Rider jeans. There were apparently created back in 1941 when a celebrated exotic dancer took a pair of scissors to her champion rodeo rider husband’s jeans. As the name suggests these are narrower on the leg than their classic 101B or 101Z styles and come in dry denim (so you can fade them in yourself), aged-blue and black. Perfect for urban cowboys everywhere!

The only thing that Lee need to do now is make the raw/unwashed denim from their
Archive collection a permanent fixture. The whole limited edition thing is not new and doesn’t make them any more/less sought over…its a bloody gimmick. That said the unwashed models in the Archive section on their website are truly outstanding, and thank goodness they’ve actually used raw denim with a bit of slubbiness…good on you Lee. keep it up.

And available at Barneys New York soon! They loved the European line (completely different than the one sold in the US and Canada). So glad Lee gets the recognition they deserve. Finally… The Vivienne Westwood ange is awesome as well.
