A little while back I wrote about how the J Brand 5 x 5 Collection was a textbook example of a well thought out and executed collaboration. Well today I have an example of a poorly thought out and rather pointless collaboration. Earnest Sewn and Lacoste have got put their heads together and the results are one company (Earnest Sewn) takes their product (a pair of jeans) and “updates” it by branding it with the logo (the crocodile) of another company (Lacoste). Apparently the collection will also include polo shirts, which I will take a wild guess may feature the Earnest Sewn logo on them somewhere. I really would have expected that two established fashion brands such as these could come up with something a little more imaginative than this.
