CLOSED opened (no pun intended!) a temporary showroom here in NYC (they are headquartered in Germany) and I was so excited to see their FW11 collection (no typo here, I do mean 2011). Let me tell you what I saw. First off, the never-ending parade of cargo continues – but their new version of this hitherto overdone style may even make ME reconsider my self-proclaimed “no more cargos” outcry! I was also very taken with their denim overall jeans (see picture above) and overall-dresses (or jumpers as the Americans call them) made of a super-soft denim. Slouchy and pedal pusher styles aren’t going away any time soon (see picture below) and continue to be a large part of the line. The overall trend in fit seems to be skinny-slouchy and loose skinny. I haven’t seen a single jegging model in their F/W11 collection. Hurray!
