It’s always a disappointment when a brand decides to cut corners on their marketing. The way that I look at it, you might make the greatest product in the world but if people don’t know about it (via some decent marketing) they are less likely to buy it. Stussy Women decided not to spend much on their Spring/Summer 2011 Lookbook resulting in a less than inspiring set of photos. Anyone starting a new denim brand should take note, high quality lookbook images are a must in these days of social media when there thousands of blogs just waiting to help promote your products.

  1. I agree completely, this is a slightly half hearted effort. It’s also a really odd combination of looks? I think they’d have been better off just shooting the jeans in detail, without bothering with the odd selection of tops.

  2. Sometimes, the way a brand makes their jeans look is even more important than the jeans themselves. As a denim blogger, I can honestly say that I have had lots of comments from people that went to buy their jeans just because they loved a lookbook.
