Mad Style - Paige Skyline Ankle Peg Jeans IMG_8840.jpg

Hello! I hope everyone has been having an amazing 2011. The new year means lots of work ahead for me! Currently I am scrambling to get my photography portfolio together, as well as preparing for my schools end of the year exhibition in April. Right about now I am dreaming of a stress-free spring, when my classes are over and the sun is out. As of now however, all I can do is prepare for the warmer holidays, which brings me to these jeans sent to me by Brynn and Allie at Paige Premium Denim.

I have always loved Paige Jeans. I bought my first pair when I was thirteen and wore them to death. The soft denim and flattering cut made them impossible to take off, along with their ability to make my scrawny freshman frame look even a little bit curvy. Now, almost five years later, I am still obsessed with the brand–particularly this pair of Paige Skyline Ankle Peg Jeans.

These jeans are perfect for spring. The classic ankle crop and deep blue wash works with just about everything, and I love the fact they are completely without rips or fading. I wore them here with floral pumps but I tried them on with ballet flats and moccasins and they worked well with both. Jeans like these can be thrown on with a simple t-shirt and look instantly chic, a quality I am constantly on the lookout for. So often jeans are outfit specific, meaning they must be worn with very certain shirts and shoes in order to look stylish, but these can transition from casual to sharp with ease. I have been searching for a cropped trouser for the warmer days of spring and summer and hadn’t yet found any that fit me in both length and width, but these are perfect in both categories.

Like all Paige jeans I have ever worn the denim itself is comfortable and flexible. They manage to maintain their shape throughout the day and are never constraining. I was impressed with how easily I could move in the jeans (chasing after trains and jumping on and off tubes is not always easy), the fabric is thick but not heavy and definitely not stiff. The waist band lies flat and fits true to size, and the legs are snug but not tight. The jeans fall right above my ankles, I tried cuffing them but much preferred them at their intended length. As far as these jeans go, I really cannot find fault in them.

There are countless celebrities that would agree with me as well. Founded in 2004, Paige has a following of thousands, including Rachel Bilson, Heidi Klum, and January Jones (who all recently were seen out in these same Paige Skyline Jeans). What is great about Paige however, is their versatility. The brand was created by Paige Adams-Geller, who believed that great fitting jeans should be available to everyone no matter your waist size. This fit-conscious aesthetic has helped Paige gain world wide recognition, and has certainly secured my attention.

The Paige Skyline Ankle Peg Jeans reviewed here are available online for $180.
