I’m sorry it took so long to get to this post. I have been so busy running around New York City in the 2 weeks that I am here and unfortunately this post took the back burner.
The music for this show was amazing. I was lucky enough to be seated next to the Clothes Whisperer and I have a little something brewing behind the scenes on that. But onto the details of the show!
Sophia Kokosalaki’s inspiration for Diesel’s Fall/Winter 2011 season was to simply not go minimal because everybody else is doing it. In fact she did exactly opposite of what all the cool kids are doing and it made her quite the stand out style maker in return.
Kokosalaki gave bold-hued assortment of lace-up denim, thick cabled knits, and military-inspired jackets laced with a bit of rock ‘n’ roll. Also noted at the show were biker jackets, python-printed leather pants and exaggerated bell-bottoms. Colors were traditional fall colors of browns, reds and purples. And did I mention LEATHER! Yummy buttery, shiny, soft, rough and laced leathers are so in for Fall.
This was my favorite show during NYFW thanks to all of the flowing fabrics, variety of textures and all around wearability.
