Mad Style - Superdry Babyblue Denim Slim Jeans IMG_9381.jpg

It’s already nearing the end of January and I can’t tell where time has gone. I finish school in less than three months and am getting ready for my university interviews come February. I’ll be back to California so soon but I don’t think I’m ready for this first year in London to come to an end. I am very ready however for some sunshine, and with it the simple breezy styles of summer, which is what I think this pair of Babyblue Denim Slim Superdry Jeans in Classic Raw will be perfect for.

I can’t say out of all the jeans I’ve received and reviewed that these are my favourites. The jeans sit very low on my hips and the back pockets are very small–a style I think would flatter someone with a bit more curve to their body than I. The fabric is an over-dyed dark blue and was a bit rough to my skin, but after reading a sticker I had first ignored I believe you’re supposed to wash them well (separately as the colour bleeds in the wash) before wear, which I’m sure would soften the denim. They’re a slim bootcut but are slightly relaxed in the leg, and they run a little small (shown here is a size 26 whereas I usually wear a size 25). I like the bright orange stitching and copper detailing against the dark blue denim, and definitely see these jeans being perfect for casual day to day wear. Because of their loose style I paired them with a simple white tank and dark blue motorcycle jacket, as well as a coral lip stain that I’ve been dying to try out for ages now. I did also try cuffing them at the ankle and liked them this way, particularly considering I’ll be wearing a lot of my denim in this style for spring and summer.

Superdry itself is a global brand inspired by both Japanese and vintage American styles. I think both these influences are obvious in the pop of coloured stitching as well as the simple deep blue low rise style. This brand fits a broad range of styles and is wearable but chic. I love their simplistic street style mixed with interesting details as well as the large range of products they offer. Superdry spans not only many different cuts of denim, but accessories, pyjamas and clothing as well. This is a brand that I will certainly keep on my radar in the future, as I am interested to see how their other jeans fit.

The Babyblue Denim Slim Superdry Jeans reviewed here are available online for £69.99.
