Everyone knows I love my jeans and am very lucky to have a wardrobe full of favorite jeggings, jean shorts and flares that I regularly wear. So when I think about what I want to spend my money on, I want find something new. With so many choices in fabric I’m definitely open to some variety, be it striped jeans, brocade jeans (similar to the Balmain one’s seen editorially), snake print or a new body shape.

Habitual Jeans has taken their “Audrey” Skinny Jegging and freshened it up using super stretchy fabric with a metallic sheen embossed floral pattern called “Luxor”. When I say super stretchy I mean it, these are snuggly – made of of 64% Cotton, 32% Polyester and 4% Spandex and combined with the 8″ rise, they are really comfortable. Habitual has replaced their signature pocket with a simple “H” stitched on the rear. It is rare these days that I find pocket adornment a plus in jeans. These are slim fitting from waistband to ankle and retain their shape with wear and actually feel more like hanging out at home leggings than hanging in the club jeans! Dressed up or down it is a win win here with these jeans.

I chose to pair these with a men’s Ramone’s t-shirt and this great Elizabeth and James velvet jacket that I got (second hand – major score) and of course my faithful Marc Jacobs shoes (which are looking a bit scruffed up). I absolutely love this outfit!

One thing I noticed when I looked them up online is that there was a mention that they had to be dry cleaned, which for me is a minus. I’m not sure this has to happen (and I may be wrong) because the jeans aren’t tagged that way. Super lightweight and comfortable I would definitely consider plunking down my hard earned dollars for a pair of these, although I must admit that $275 does seem like a lot of money when I like everyone else is trying to make my dollars spread the furthest.

The Habitual “Audrey” Jeans in Luxor reviewed here are $275.00 and are available online from

  1. Going darker isn't as rough on the hair as going lighter. I saw these jeans at Coterie and they are beautiful.
