To tell you the truth I was never a big fan of coloured denim… until now This season has me checking out a lot of different things it seems, with colour everywhere it’s hard not to try it at least once, so I was really excited to see these J Brand 811 Pink Skinny Jeans come in the mail. The first thing I did when putting these on was grab onto the belt loops and pull to get the jean sitting comfortably on my hips. I have never had a problem using this technique before, but this time the right belt loop ripped right off the jean, leaving a gaping hole on the right hip, GULP! but also SHOCK! I mean when I go to a store and spend $179.00 my jeans better not be ripping… anywhere.
If these jeans weren’t a beautiful bright pink (also avalailable in blue, red, yellow etc.) with a soft almost silky feel to them I would have been furious. Well guess WHAT?! knowing how fragile these are I would STILL go out and buy them (red in particular for myself). I swear I am not bipolar, but seriously, Spring just doesn’t last long enough here and if a bright pair of skinnies help me feel/look better than why not. You only live once. And to add insult to injury there just isn’t enough coloured denim out there to begin with, girls, there just aren’t enough choices. I scoured the stores and bright coloured pants were far and few in between, it’s funny how when you actually look for something specific you can never find it. OK and maybe also they are only like on every celebrity out there possible, so who cares if I was subconsciously brainwashed to love them, I DO love them and the amount of compliments alone I got while wearing them is worth $176.
They say they are higher rise but from having them on I can say that’s not necessarily true, and even with 2% lycra they are not as stretchy as you might expect, so just be careful, love them, but be gentle with them and I can guarantee you will get your money’s worth.
