If you’ve been reading my reviews from the beginning, or if you follow my fashion blog, then you know that I’m a HUGE fan of the bell-bottom or wide leg jean. They are so fun to wear and are the epitome of 70’s boho chic! So, naturally, I was over the moon when this J BRAND Bette 70’s wide leg jean in Wonderama arrived on my doorstep.
I am smitten with these jeans, and it seems like January Jones, Alessandra Ambrosio and AnnaLynne McCord are as well! The wide leg is perfection and the placement of the pockets really adds character and sets these jeans apart from the rest out there.
They are 92 % cotton, 7% polyester, and 1% spandex which makes them incredibly comfortable, and easy to move in. The wash is perfect. It’s nice to wear a medium wash for once, because a lot of the bell-bottoms I’ve tried are on the darker, indigo side. The high-rise is great when you want to tuck in that shirt for a more polished look. I paired them with a classic vintage red/white striped silk shirt (which also happens to have pockets in the front), and my Jeffrey Campbell “Snick” wedges that go with absolutely everything. My look is effortless, yet classic.
These jeans would also be great if paired with a sleeveless cropped top, or a soft flowy bohemian blouse. You can even throw on a white blazer for a more chic and refined look. You just can’t go wrong with these!
J Brand has yet to disappoint me and to be honest, I just don’t think it’s possible to dislike a pair of J Brand denim. The quality is superb and the styles I’ve tried thus far have all been fun and timeless. J Brand is just good classic denim that makes you look and feel great.
