Hello from sunny Florida! I’m back with yet another review on denim shorts, and I couldn’t be happier (See my other Denimology reviews of shorts HERE, and HERE). It is getting into the 90’s here, and lately shorts are the only pair of bottoms I’m reaching for.

I was stoked when I received these Paige Premium Denim “Silverlake” stretch denim shorts in “Woodstock”. One, I am a HUGE fan of Paige Premium Denim. Two, they are cut-off shorts and what girl isn’t wearing a pair of denim cut-offs in the summer? It’s a staple in our wardrobe, is it not?

Upon first glance these shorts look super cute and are the epitome of summer style. The Woodstock wash just screams summer casual, and the insider of the shorts is lined in the cutest print, consisting of: flip flops, palm trees, bikinis, and martinis (I’m such a sucker for denim that is lined with a fun print! I know no one sees it but the wearer, but it adds such a fun touch to a simple pair of shorts.).

Now on to the frayed hemline… It is genius, I tell you! The fray is clean and there is a hem above the fray to prevent further fraying, which I love! Yes, sometimes its fun to wear denim cut-offs that have more of a distressed look (especially when you are going for a more relaxed and/or edgy vibe), but this controlled fraying is nice. Especially when you think of the price of these shorts! I, personally, would not want to spend over $100 on a pair of shorts that would fray more and more with each wash.

The fit of these shorts is undeniably Paige – -so true to size and extremely comfortable! The shorts are not too tight, but are not as relaxed as they look on the model featured HERE. They consist of 98% cotton and 2% spandex, so they have a wonderful stretch to them. They do not stretch out too much though, which is nice. You don’t have to worry about saggy shorts after hours of wear. They sit comfortably on the hips, not too low and not too high. The denim is super soft and smooth.

I decided to pair these shorts with a vintage embroidered top with fringe heels for a look that’s both bohemian-esque and summery. I can also see myself pairing these shorts with some brown gladiator sandals and a bright tank, as well as a white top with a cotton blazer (in a pretty hue!), and espadrilles. You just can’t go wrong with these!

Overall, I am really digging these shorts. They are super flattering and I feel the cut of these shorts would do well on several different body types. I can’t wait to style them in different ways. If you are on the hunt for a comfortable pair of denim cut-offs that will flatter you, then you definitely need to check out these Paige Premium Denim “Silverlake” stretch denim shorts in “Woodstock”. The quality is phenomenal.
