Last month WWD got together some of the big kahunas of the denim world for a conference in LA. Twelve of the most experienced and well respected denim gurus including Adriano Goldschmied (Citizens Of Humanity/Goldsign), Jeff Rudes (J Brand), Paul Marciano (Guess) and Maurizio Donadi (Levi’s) each spoke for 30 mins about their history in denim and their vision for the future. If like me you were not able to attend then I am sure you will be interested to learn that the entire conference was videod and is available for you to view online. Having watched each presentation I can confirm that this is an absolute must see for anyone working in the denim industry. It’s not often you get an insight into the workings of brands like Diesel and Levi’s, so this is an opportunity not to be missed.
Of course anything this good is not going to be free, the site hosting the videos is charging $149 for 60 day access to the almost 6 hours of content. Not cheap but then if you are serious about your denim this is a worthwhile investment.
