Hi everyone! It’s been a long time again and I wish I could say hello to you more often, but either way today I’m here to share my thoughts and feelings on J Brand Maria White mid-rise skinnies. When I randomly picked them up from the rack at Donna Ida, I didn’t think that they’d look great on me, but then they turned out to be the pair coming home with me that day.
These jeans feels like they are slimming you down, flawlessly hugging your body in all the right places, but at the same time not flattening you where it’s not needed. Big credit for the perfect waist which is the ideal compromise between the low rise and high rise – prolonging your legs, keeping the shape well but allowing you to move around comfortably (oh, and breath too). I tucked the shirt in to show you what I mean – as you can see no belt needed!
Did I forget to mention these skinnies are hugely on-trend this season thanks to their impeccable whiteness? I’m sure you know that. But speaking of white – yes they are extremely easy to mess up. They will make you stand up in public transport, keep any colour transferring bags well away. But the good point is – they are easy to maintain: just wash them in cold water. One thing to be aware of is that these jeans do not have front pockets. This is a good thing as far as I am concerned because it never looks cool when your phones, keys or whatever are bulging out from your pockets? I’ll stick with my clutch/purse for holding stuff like that.
When it came to styling these white skinnies, I must admit I was a bit lost – but for all the good reasons. Half of my wardrobe seemed to go with them and the shoe choices varied from soft nudes to bold brights, but in the end I’ve thrown together this very casual outfit with pops of colour here and there: very summery.
Overall, whatever styled with, these J Brand Marias won’t let you pass by unnoticed, so make sure to think of every little detail – including the underwear you’re going to wear them with! I’m sure these jeans will inject a doze of confidence into anyone that wears them… and you can’t ask for much more than that.
