For Spring/Summer 2012 Baldwin is maintaining its tradition of sticking to selvedge denim, although they are doing them in lighter washes as well. They are using a heavier denim which makes for a more refined look. This is especially important in those skinny white jeans that could get really baggy and stretched out if they were not made of at least 12 ounce denim. I really like those white ones – I have seen them at the Capsule tradeshow and I remember how well made they were! It’s always good to have at least one recognizable feature in this crowded jeans market and that triple-overstitched rear seam makes Baldwin very recognizable.
