OK, so I know I always rant about how much I love red denim, but one color that is my all-time fave is GREEN. I haven’t had the pleasure of reviewing a pair of green denim until now, and I’m over the moon with this minty-colored hue. These are M2F Slim Fit Skinny Leg Jeans in Starflower.
I’ve been patiently waiting for another bright colored pair of jeans to come my way, so my eyes lit up when this pair arrived on my doorstep. I had never heard of the M2F Denim brand, so I decided to check out their website to acquaint myself with the brand. Being a girl that is ob-sessed with vintage clothing, I was pleased as punch to read that M2F gives their denim original vintage details. M2F is the first ever jean company to create and produce authentic colored denim that fade and abrade like traditional indigo jeans – AND they are an eco-friendly company. Stars such as Leann Rimes, Whitney Port, and Ashley Tisdale are fans of the brand.
This pair of M2F jeans is slim fit, so I expected them to be a tad slimmer than most skinny jeans. However, the fit was a tad on the tight side for me. The jeans are 98% cotton and 2% spandex, but I feel these jeans run small and a size 28 would’ve probably fit better on me than the size 27 I had received. At first I didn’t think I would like the frayed hem at the ankles, but it actually looked pretty cool and it’s a nice change from the usual clean ankle hems we are used to seeing – it adds character. I also loved how the pocket design was simplified – nothing over the top.
I decided to pair a vintage black fringed top to compliment the vintage feel of these jeans. I also happen to think black and green look really well together… perhaps it’s my obsession with mint chocolate chip ice-cream. 🙂 If you aren’t fond of this green hue, M2F has some other great colors to choose from, such as: Rose, Lavender, and Tiger Lilly. Starflower is definitely my fave though.
Overall I think these jeans are pretty rad and I’d love to try another color and/or style – perhaps in a size 28 though because this brand does not run true to size for me.
