When I asked Cohesive’s design director, David, what this brand is about, here is what he said: “Cohesive is me. And most likely you. What I mean is that when you’re looking for that special jacket or shirt you’re going to spend your money on, it has to accurately depict who you are or who you want to be. That is always complex and multidimensional; you may have nostalgia for the nineties, but you live in 2011. When I design a piece, it makes a story with more depth when I draw inspiration from completely opposite themes – e.g., preppy hipster, Silverlake vs Santa Monica, vintage vs modern etc. In essence, the Cohesive collection is the common thread that weaves different ideas together to form unique and individual garments to represent a well rounded individual.” Well put together, Cohesive, I like the way they layer the tops, and I especially love the washed out red pants shown above.
