I know I’ve professed my love for red jeans numerous times in my past reviews, but I haven’t had a chance to express my fondness of the army green jean. For one, green is my favorite color, but I’m also a big fan of the military/utilitarian look. I was stoked when these Hudson Collin Signature Skinny Mid Rise jeans in Army Green came in the mail. I’m a huge fan of Hudson jeans.
The fit and feel of these jeans is beyond comfortable. They are 37% rayon, 37% cotton, 24.5% tencel, and 1.5% lyrca giving them perfect stretch. This skinny jean is 1″ higher on the waist compared to Hudson’s regular skinnies. I actually prefer the higher rise because it works so much better when tucking in a top or shirt. However, I chose to go for a more relaxed look with this loose crop top. I think these jeans would also look great when paired with a crisp white tee, or a denim button down.
As much as I’m a fan of the army green jean in a cargo style (pockets on the side), it was a refreshing change to see the army green color reflected on a more subtle and classic style of jean. The army green color is also a lot more subdued than the usual army green jeans; the green is faded and has a vintage feel to it.
I have to say I really like these jeans and Hudson is definitely a brand that has yet to disappoint me. I would love a chance to review a pair from the Hudson by Georgia May Jagger Collection. The collection has an edgy appeal that intrigues me, and I’m a sucker for denim collaborations.
