Habitual’s signature Maltese cross design, featured on the back pockets of most of their core styles, traces all the way back to Ancient Greece. The symbol, used by warrior monks in Malta, Celtic knights and firefighters and, more recently by surfers, represents courage, honor, truth and bravery. It even serves as a good luck talisman. But even without all these noble attributes I would still love Habitual’s jeans. I can tell you by having seen them and having tried them on that their fit is perfection itself. And it’s not only the fit. When talking to the brand’s reps, they explained to me how their jeans are given special hand treatments that allow the underlying beauty to be brought to life. Oftentimes, their jeans are triple-washed and hand-sanded, while other times the fabric and construction are simply allowed to shine through.Just check out the different styling of those skinny jeans shown above, where, instead of the traditional five pocket style, they use horizontal slit pockets which have less volume and create a slimmer silhouette.
