Fall is here and nothing says Fall like an Olive Green pair of jeans, so today I am reviewing Buffalo David Bitton Ashtex Skinny jeans. This particular pair of denim are not only olive green but are distressed, with tears, rips and fading. I am not used to wearing a pair of denim that are this distressed but overall I think it works really well together. Generally I like non-distressed, dark wash jeans, so I was really excited to try out a completely different wash. The fit of the jeans is great, nice and slim through the thigh with a leg opening that isn’t too small, which is great to tuck a pair of boots into. Definitely a very comfortable pair of jeans to own, they already have a broken in feel to them, as if they were already yours for a few months. When I was wearing them, I didn’t feel like I was being squeezed into them and they fit pretty true to size, I was wearing a 30 waist. I generally fit into a 29 or 30 depending on the wash. I might suggest sizing down one if you want to wear them and break them in, I have a feeling they might stretch out a little bit. Another thing I really enjoyed about them is the color, I won’t be scared to wash them because it is already a lighter wash and washing them will only add to the distressing, so I think they might get better with age.
As I mentioned before, I was really excited to put together an outfit to go with a pair of olive green jeans. Lately I have been really into olive green chinos, so I had a few outfits in mind already. Everyone calls this cardigan my “old man” cardigan… but what is Fall or Winter without a great Fair Isle print? This cardigan is perfect for the Fall because it is lightweight but still provides warmth, and I loved the navy against the color of the jeans. The light toned colors in the cardigan match the denim well too. As for shoes, I can stop wearing my black boots, and it just so happens that they go great with this outfit.
You should definitely go pick up a pair of these for the Fall, they certainly will be my “go-to” Fall jean.
