Here is what Clarence Ruth, designer of Cotte D’Armes tells us about his brand:
“Cotte D’Armes is the French term for Coat of Arms – a piece of clothing or symbol representing ones affiliation or family. With Cotte D’Armes I imagine a piece of clothing that captures the spirit and the essence of the military with a touch of American biker. The line in many ways represents me because it is my creation. It represents my love for style and allows me to release my creative energy and my desire to not just enjoy what fashion has contributed to life but to contribute to fashion by approaching it independently encouraging new looks, new styles, new wears.”
I have met Clarence several times and I was truly impressed checking out his line at the showroom. His jeans are creative, innovative and different from the “mainstream” jeans. They are a MUST if you are looking for a more individual and eccentric pair of jeans. They don’t come cheap, the price range is $225-$299, but let me tell you, they are so worth it. Truly soft and stretchy but with the distinctive feel of raw denim. The jeans run true to size.
