Well…. here is my first official jeans review (although I did review that awesome hoodie for MAJ…) on Denimology! Before I review these Paige Floral Skyline Ankle Peg Skinny Jeans in Lola Grey with my amazingly comfortable Yummie Tummie Shirt, I owe you all a little confession-thank-you-apology type deal.

Hi I am Jessie. I am Denimology’s editor. I’ve been writing for you all here at Denimology for about 3 years. You don’t know me that well because I previously lacked the confidence to show my shape, my figure (still SUPER nervous).

While speaking on the first panel of the day during IFBcon I was kind of read to filth for saying something to the effect of “all our style bloggers were young, thin and pretty”. I “knew” thought I knew what our readers wanted to see on the blog. Model types. Celebrity types. Skinny, tall with not even a lick of fat. I was dead wrong. A multitude of you told me that I needed to be on the blog more. That my face appearing on a regular basis would bring you closer to Denimology. Apologies for not being the fearless leader I was supposed to be all along. So here I am.

If you wanna get a little more personal with me… click here. 😀 Now onto the review!

Today I am rocking a pair of Paige Floral Skyline Ankle Peg Skinny Jeans in Lola Grey sent to me from Paige. These jeans have me reminiscent of my younger years when printed denim was all the rage but I was too young to participate in the trend.

The vintage inspired floral design on these jeans reminds me of the Claude Monet painting on the cover of one of my favorite Children’s books, Katie Meets The Impressionists. The print is perfectly understated on darker grey denim. The Skyline is mid rise skinny peg with the inseam hem hitting just at the ankle. These jeans feature an 8 1/8″ rise, a 29″ inseam and a 12″ leg opening. For online ordering, I am 5′ 6 and a size 31 so you can compare yourself to me if necessary. These jeans did fit perfectly to size. The denim is only 1% Elastane and 99% Cotton which could possibly be why they are staying where they should. I am guilty of all too often wearing stretchy jeans.

Now what you really want to know! How much do I like them. I don’t like them…. I adore them. I love that these dark wash floral jeans are going to take me clear through winter in thanks to the charcoal hue. The hemline is perfect for rolling up which you can see I did in the picture. I have an ample posterior and after I did my karate kicks and buttoned them up, I never had to wiggle them up again. Which is total awesome sauce!

My opinion? Slide your cheeks into these Paige Floral Skyline Ankle Peg Skinny Jeans in Lola Grey! They are a hit for this girl!

  1. They look so cute on you! Your “ample posterior” fills them out nicely 😉

  2.  Thanks Nikki! I was sick to my stomach earlier. I feel so much better now that it's done. 🙂

  3. you got it absolutely right, Jessie! Many women think that the more stretchy the better the jeans stay up and in place. Wrong. A little bit of stretch only does the trick.

  4. you look fab jessie and that booty shot is a real winner. we need to see lots more reviews from you please.

  5. First review I’ve actually read on Denimology in ages – it’s so nice to see a woman who looks like me wearing jeans in reviews. I skip over many of the other reviewers because it’s like, well, this tells me nothing about how the jeans will fit on me. And you look fab so I want these right now! 🙂

    •  Wow!  Wow! Wow!Really?! You are who I want to hear from! Thank you. When I was feeling ill about posting these pictures, I told myself that there were people that wanted to hear from normal size people too! Thanks again!

  7.  The print looks classic with the black top. I bet I am able to wear these well past the floral trend thanks to the dark hue the print is on.

  9.  Thanks Andy! I am feeling more confident after getting this one out there. 🙂

  10.  This is definitely my first experience with the right size jean without stretch. Usually I have to size up so much that they don't have my size.

  11. Love the poses. Keep ’em coming!
    Great hair too!
Regarding the jeans, I don’t really care for them though. They bunch too much at the knees and the lower legs are just not that skinny. As I’ve posted on here somewhere in the past, if you’re going to go flare, go superflare and if you’re going to go skinny, go superskinny.  Just one guy’s opinion though.

    •  I agree with you on the legs being a bit wide. I think that is why they changed the prints to a crop instead of a peg leg. I don’t necessarily care for peg legs but these worked for me when cuffed. I don’t like them too skinny either. Especially when the denim does not have a lot of stretch in it. That is uncomfortable.
