Susan Style - Diesel Livier Jeggings liever9.jpg

Hi everyone. Susan from StylePosts here. I am a huge denim fan. There is nothing more stylish and versatile than jeans in my opinion. So I can really appreciate brands such as Diesel who I consider a pioneer in designer denim. Although it’s been a while since I’ve last bought a pair of Diesel jeans, I’ve recently developed a rekindling affection for the brand with their current season’s new styles, particularly their Fit Your Attitude collection. When I think of Diesel jeans, I don’t usually think of super skin tight jeans. So I was really surprised (and pleasantly surprised at that) by the fit of these jeans when I put them on for the first time. These are Diesel Livier Jeggings in 0882P.

Let me begin with the fit. Jeggings are typically very fitted jeans, which is exactly how this particular pair fits. They are skin tight throughout the thighs and calves, with an 11 inch leg opening. Made of 98% cotton and 2% elastane, these jeans have a decent amount of elasticity to them. They’re made of a heavy-weight, study denim. I always find the quality of Diesel jeans to be impeccable. These do stretch out a bit after some wear as with all denim. But one of the things I really appreciate about Diesel jeans is that they don’t stretch out too much after wearing the jeans. I’ve had experience with some jeans where I’d regret not going down in size after the jeans have stretched out with some wear. But Diesel jeans don’t seem to stretch out that much. I’d say these run about a half size small. So if you’re in between sizes, I’d say to go up in size. These come in one inseam size of 32 ½ inches, (Diesel typically offers different inseam measurements with their other styles). The rise measurement is 8 inches. (Keep in mind that measurements may vary slightly with different sizes.)

The rear pockets are more simple than Diesel’s classic pocket design. These have a plain pocket with gold contrast stitching aligning each pocket. The rear right side waistband has a leather black patch with a copper colored “Diesel” logo. There’s copper colored hardware throughout. The front pockets are faux pockets which is typical of jeggings to keep with the tight fit of the jeans. The front right pocket has Diesel’s signature label.

The wash is called 0882P, which is a dark blue color mixed with grey hues. There’s fading and whiskering along the front thighs and knees and light fading on the backside. I love the color on these jeans. Each pair of jeans is treated in order to give the fabric a particular appearance, which means no two pairs have the exact color. This allows each pair to be truly one of a kind.

The washing instructions are: Wash in cold, low iron heat, do not tumble dry, do not dry clean.
