Hi guys! I am back with my newest discovery – Hudson Jeans! Yes, yes, yes, it sounds crazy but I have never owned a single pair. Though I always liked what I saw in the stores and online, I just never happened to buy anything. But now all that has changed and I love my very first pair of Hudson jeans, the Nico Mid-Rise Super Skinny in Lavender.
My jeans are one of the six colors from the “bright” Hudson Second Skin Denim Collection. Trendy pastel hues (Cherry, Lemon, Berry, Watermelon, Lavender and Tangerine) are bold and super fun. Light purple with a pink undertone, the Lavender Nico is gorgeous and looks amazing on any skin tone.
I definitely prefer skinny fit jeans and this one is everything that I want. Super slim from top to bottom, these form fitting jeans hug every curve and make your tush look great! Though I am more of a low-rise girl I really don’t mind the higher rise (9″); it creates a nice hour-glass shape and a taller, leaner silhouette for your body. And, it is very comfortable. One of the reasons I am not a big fan of mid-rise jeans is the uneasiness that I feel when wearing such pants; they almost suffocate me, but in case of Nico jeans the higher rise doesn’t bother me at all. I think a big part of it is the fabric, Second Skin Denim. This lightweight and super-stretchy blend (67% cotton, 29% polyester, 4% lycra) with suede-like hand feel is incredibly nice and soft.
The faux-flap pockets are a great update and suit cool, spunky jeans like the Nico better than the classic Hudson back pocket. Flat and simple, they don’t add extra bulk on the back and go great with this clean and sleek silhouette.
These jeans run true to the size chart that you can find on hudsonjeans.com and size 24 would be just right for me. But due to the nice stretchy fabric and skinny fit, even bigger size 25 (which I have) looks very nice on.
Overall Nico Mid-Rise Super Skinnies are a perfect pair of jeans for the warm weather of this spring and summer and a great way to have fun with fashion!
