I love denim skirts, I can’t live without at least one being in my closet at all times (maybe that’s a bit too dramatic but it’s pretty close to the truth ☺). And when last year I desperately needed a replacement for my medium wash mini I was shocked that I couldn’t find one and had to settle for a very light blue cut-off. It’s like they fell of the face of the Earth! But it seems like 2012 is my year because I have already gotten a great denim skirt – The 7 For All Mankind Bianca Skirt in Medium Worn Whiskered.

The wash is exactly what I was looking for – beautiful deep blue color fabric with contrast whiskering and a hand sanded finish. Very hip with that distinctive authentic denim feel, this skirt is both stylish and versatile. The exposed buttons on the fly also add individuality and uniqueness to this piece. With the option of dressing up or down it has definitely become a staple in my wardrobe.

The fit is awesome too! Considering that I have small hips and pretty muscular limbs makes it difficult for me to wear super tight minis without looking like an Olympic athlete. The straight silhouette of this skirt works just perfect for me and will be very flattering on most other body types too. The length is right to the middle of the thigh and is great for summer – not too short but just short enough ☺

The skirt is incredibly comfortable; the wide waistband and soft, supple denim (98% cotton, 2% spandex) make this mini lovely to wear. I picked up my usual size 24 and must say that it fits great.

I can’t even describe how happy I am to finally get the skirt that I’ve wanted already for some time and the 7 For All Mankind Bianca Skirt in Medium Worn Whiskered was definitely worth the wait!

I am the EU contributor and product reviewer for Denimology. From the time I was 5 years old browsing through my first fashion magazine I knew I wanted to be in this industry. While working as a Merchandiser at Gloria Jeans, the largest denim manufacturer and retailer in Russia, I discovered my passion for denim. It fascinated me then and years later it fascinates me even more. Every day I learn and discover something new and exciting about denim and am thrilled to do it hand in hand with all of you!

  1. Great review and photos!  I think with all of the prints, color and everything else going on sometimes women forget just how important it is to have an amazing indigo denim skirt; this one from 7 for all mankind seems to be the perfect choice!

    • I like colors and prints too, but you are right, Eva, great denim skirt in a classic blue wash is irreplaceable.
