Hey denim lovers! Today I have a review by the brand, G-Star. These jeans are the ARC 3D Super Skinny Pant in Force Superstretch “Paccio.” This is the first time I’ve ever reviewed this brand, and I was immediately intrigued by the 3D construction. G-Star is known for their raw denim and their 3D construction. Their RAW Sustainable program uses organic cotton instead of conventional cotton, because they believe in a “sustainable future without compromising quality, comfort or design.”
This style of the jean is truly unique. It has a corkscrew-like effect that twists the seam from the knee down to the shin and it results in a flattering fit that’s both comfortable and ergonomic. The denim itself is quite thin – making them feel more like a legging. They are low-waisted and feature faux side pockets, with real pockets in the back.
The material shell is 70% cotton, 28% polyester, and 2% elastane, and the lining is 80% polyester and 20% cotton. The jeans are quite comfortable to move around in. However, the asymmetrical stitching feels a little different. Definitely something that takes getting used to! I noticed that the stitching caused the jeans to bunch up at the ankles, which is something I don’t really like my skinny jeans to do. I did, however, like how the jeans hugged my every curve and resulted in a flattering fit.
As for the color of the denim, I like it a lot. I think it’s different, and I think the deeper hue can be just as versatile as a pair of red denim. I think this jean would be great for day or night, and would look awesome paired with a denim shirt, leather jacket, or simple tee.
Overall this may not be my fave skinny jean that I’ve tried, but it was unique and I’m interested in reviewing other jeans that G-Star has to offer.
