Nothing more fitting than bringing Jordache “back up” again. We are so into the retro-70’s and I have been told that Jordache used to be THE “it” jean back then, when people decided that Levi’s was just “too working-class”.

Nowadays, they are selling exclusively at Wal-mart and for under $20. I will tell you more about this brand when I post their lookbook.

  1.  I’m old enough to remember Jordache but they were actually an early to mid 80’s brand, not 70’s. The early 80’s were all straight leg and mid-80’s all super skinny. (although they were not called “skinny” then, I forget what they were called.)  Jordache, Bonjour and Bongo were the cool brands with fancy pocket designs but they were expensive….$20 to $30/pair!  But the coolest brand was an upstart called Guess? which was charging $40-50/pair. Outrageous!

    • You would be incorrect about the 70’s portion, KingBob. Jordache came to be a denim brand in either 1978 or 1979. I recall learning about the brand start up when Heidi Klum was fronting the brand not long ago. 🙂

      •  Well you could be right, Jessie.  I did not go back and look it up; only really speaking from my experience with the brand.

Gosh, that video though shows how horrible those high rise jeans looked back in the day. YUCK!

  5.  I remember my momma wearing them when I was a kid. I thought she looked so glamorous. Now, looking back… not so much. HA!
