Susan Style - Lucky Brand Sienna Cigarette Jeans cig4.jpg

Hello again, denim fans. I hope you’re all enjoying your summer so far. With the current heat wave going on here in Southern California (and in many other parts of the globe from what I hear), I’m all about comfort these days. A perfect pair of boyfriend jean is just the ticket for that. If you are with me on this, and you are a fan of boyfriend jeans, then I highly recommend this particular pair from our friends at Lucky Brand. These are Lucky Brand Sienna Cigarette Jeans.

This particular pair has easily become one of my favorite pairs of jeans for several reasons. For one, the cut on these jeans is the absolute perfect boyfriend style jean. They’re not overly baggy, which normally causes the rear to sag and just look sloppy all around. These are very relaxed in fit yet still flattering in all the right places. I’d best describe this pair as a straight leg boyfriend jean with a leg opening of 12 inches.

The inseam is 30 ½ inches which I decided to roll up to create a cropped look. The rise has a button fly that’s 7 inches, which is a perfect rise for me. It’s not too high or low. The wash is called Medium Bystander, which is a medium blue wash that’s faded along the thighs, knees, and rear with whiskering along the front. I love the color on these. It’s the perfect blue that goes with just about anything. And since my tour at Lucky Brand’s factory and learning just how each characteristic of their jeans is created, I can appreciate every hand-sanded fade, every whisker, and every bit of detail on these jeans that much more. These have a gold contrast stitch that stands out nicely against the blue. The rear right-side waistband has a brown leather Lucky Brand tag that adds a bit of edge to these jeans.

The material is made of 99% cotton and 1% spandex. These jeans are one of the most comfortable pairs of jeans I have ever owned. The denim is so extremely soft and feel perfectly worn in. They feel as if I’ve worn these for years. During my personal fitting at Lucky Brand, I was taught that typically jeans are created with a right hand weave. However, this pair in particular is created with a left hand weave, creating a super soft, worn-in feel to the jeans. Another big plus to these jeans is the price tag. They’re much more affordable without any compromise to the quality and fit of the jeans.

Washing instructions are: machine wash cold, wash separately, do not bleach, tumble dry low.
