Jen Style - Lucky Brand Charlie Baby Boot Jeans DSC09017 (1).JPG

Hey denim lovers! Sorry for my lack of denim reviews lately. I’ve been swamped with work and blog projects! I have some really exciting stuff coming up, but it can get overwhelming when you work full time and are 6 months pregnant. πŸ˜‰

Recently I had the pleasure of visiting the Lucky Brand store in Tampa Bay at the International Mall, and I had such a fun time trying on their denim! The Lucky girls were super nice and accommodating. It was a great experience to get to visit a brand’s store – since usually I have the jeans mailed to me.

Lucky Brand is the epitome of All-American clothing, and their denim always gives off such a classic look and feel. I just couldn’t wait to try on some of their most popular styles. Some of my faves included the Lola Skinny Jeans and the Sienna Cigarette Jeans, but my top pick were the Charlie Baby Boot Jeans.

I was actually quite surprised by my top choice because usually I lean towards a great skinny or bell-bottom jean. Don’t get me wrong, I was really diggin’ their skinny and even their cigarette jeans, but the Baby Boot jeans gave off such a flattering look! They are 93% cotton, 5% polyester, and 2% spandex of super stretch denim – giving them impeccable stretch. I’m 21 weeks pregnant in these photos, and a size 28 fit me just fine (thanks to the lower rise). And since I’m 5’10, I went with the longer inseam (which is 34″), and the length was perfect.

I have to admit that the boot-cut style was really only a style I reached for in my high school days, but the moment I slipped on these jeans I was hooked! I really think this style of jean is making a comeback. Boot-Cut jeans give off a clean classic look that isn’t easily found in other styles of denim. I also think the darker wash of these jeans makes them highly versatile. I could get away with wearing these jeans to the office on Fridays with a nice shirt.

These jeans are slimming through the hips and thighs, and flare out into a baby boot-leg just below the knees. I wore these jeans with some open-toe wedges, but they would look great with anything from sandals to high heels! I really loved how the jean hugged my every curve, but still had a slimming effect. Plus, the one thing I always love about Lucky Brand is that their jeans always look great on your tush

My husband has been a long-time fan of the brand (he owns countless pairs), and now I have to say I’m a fan myself! Thanks again Lucky for a great time and for the great denim! πŸ™‚
