Hello Denimology friends. I hope you’re all enjoying the last couple of weeks of what will officially be summer. It’s still quite warm where I am, and I believe this heat will carry us well into September. But that hasn’t stopped me from eyeing all of the fabulous fall pieces that are slowly emerging, this pair of jeans being one of them. These are J Brand Kacie Jeans.

Denim is one of my favorite fashion pieces, and I just love that these have a piece of the best of this fall…leather. I do anticipate seeing quite a bit of leather throughout this season. This pair has a light grey leather tuxedo stripe, about ¾ of an inch wide, down the outer leg. The leather stripe feels so smooth, I actually thought initially it might have been made of velvet.

The wash is called Wicked, which is a dark indigo color with a grey undertone that has fading along the thighs, knees, and rear with whiskering along the front. The dark wash with the light fade accents well with the grey stripe. The fit is very tight. They’re meant to be skin tight, which is precisely how fitted they are. They are snug on just about every part of the leg. In fact, I’d say these run about a size small. If you’re in between sizes, I’d suggest going up a size. These are made of 92% cotton, 7% polyester, and 1% spandex, and they have very little elasticity to them. The waistband feels very snug being that there is such little elasticity to the material. They do stretch out some with wear, as with all denim. But I’d still say these run a bit small compared to most other J Brand Skinnies.

These have a slightly lower rise of 7 inches, inseam is 29 ½ inches, and a tight leg opening of 8 inches. (Measurements may vary slightly with different sizes.)

Washing instructions are: dry clean only. This is likely due to the leather stripe down the side.
